We transformed an underutilised garden block into a stunning new build that takes full advantage of its tranquil street location.

Stour Residence is a contemporary new two storey new residence with traditional building methodology with contemporary construction materials tumbled stone walling, cement render and charcoal stained shiplap curved walling has created an luxurious unassuming presence. 

By optimising the built form and integrating seamlessly with the side courtyard and pool area, we’ve created a harmonious indoor-outdoor living experience. We preserved the existing mature trees and strategically positioned the second storey towards the back of the site, maintaining the appearance of a modern single storey dwelling in compliance with the established neighbourhood overlay area regulations.

The clever design provides direct access from the garaging into the home, two living spaces, powder-room, an open plan living / dining / kitchen/ laundry and Masters suite on the ground floor.  

The kitchen is positioned as the heart of the home allowing views to all areas and through to the outdoors.   The meticulous attention to detail is evident right through from the kitchen/ butler’s pantry joinery from the selection the high-quality materials and finishes throughout creating a timeless appeal.  The quality craftsmanship continues with feature fireplaces and custom joinery furniture like pieces.
