Urban Habitats were engaged to reinvigorate a tired early 1900’s Villa residence with functional spaces and thoughtful details.
Specific elements of the original villa evoked memories of place with our clients and these were subtlety introduced into the addition. Sweeping garden views help re-establish the connection to the outdoors and assist with delivering natural light into the north facing addition.
A full renovation of the existing residence ensured the transition from old to new was considered and a simple material palette provides a neutral backdrop for furniture and artwork.
